Description

Isolation and Characterisation of Reference Substances. DFG - SPP "Refraktäre organische Säuren in Gewässern"
(ROS I)

Standard reference samples of the ROSIG project are isolated according to the XAD-procedure, and by ultrafiltration methods. DOC-mass balancing was performed for each isolation step. Fulvic (FA) and humic (HA) acids, and other fractions were isolated from different origins:

  • bog lake water (Hohlohsee HO)
  • effluent from a waste water plant (ABV)
  • ground water (Fuhrberg FG)
  • seepage water from soil (BS)
  • waste water from brown coal production (SV).

The fractions are characterized by chemical/physical, chromatographic and spectroscopic methods.
