Description

Part I: Theory of the most important processes

  1. Disinfection: chlorine (Cl2/HOCl, ClO2), UV irridiation, silver (Ag+), ozone (O3)
  2. Oxidation with: ozone (O3), potassium permanganate (KMnO4), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), advanced oxidation processes UV/ H2O2, UV/ O3, H2O2/ O3, oxygen (O2)
  3. Analysis of oxidants (O3, H2O2, Cl2)
  4. Solutes and their interactions in water treatment technology: formation of THM and AOX , AOC
  5. particular problems: CHC, Nitrate, Br-/BrO3-
